Who's Jo?

I was born in the 80's, but really grew up in the 90's. I'm in my 30's, and still haven't figured out this whole "being an adult" thing. I'm convinced I never will save for a few fleeting moments here and there on the rare days when the entire house is clean and all my bills have been paid.

I'm probably a pretty average person with average interests. I love TV (and I mean love!), popular culture, science, puns, music, fitness, and dancing (though I am not a dancer.  I basically just look like Napoleon Dynamite all the time.  Even when I was a Zumba instructor.  I was the non-threatening Zumba instructor!).  I play the ukulele, and I'm a pretty decent artist.  And by artist I mean doodler.

Doodling still counts as art though.

I'm married to the greatest person I know, and we live in the great province of Saskatchewan where I typically spend my days teaching teenagers about reading, writing, and grammar with the hope that they actually go out into the world to be good people and great communicators. As of November 2015, I've been spending my days on maternity leave with our first little one and trying to figure out this whole "being a parent" thing. I also struggle with anxiety as a result of PTSD, and am on a never-ending quest to overcome/cope with it.

If you're interested in any of these things, you can join me on my adventures of learning how to adult!
